Well done to the team on a professional job done yesterday ye are getting better by the game drive on now.the referee was a disgrace and could easily have cost us the game, credit the team for rising above his biased and bewildering decesions.our county board rep. must surely cite this and ensure we are never at his mercy again |

Well done to all the panel and selectors, as good a win as the club ever had.Everyone played their part, so maybe you will excuse me for praising on eplayer but I thought Figs was back playing the football that he was playing when on the Cork panel. He had gone through his share of injuries and maybe had lost a little of his edge, so well done Figs. I wonder had Anna enough salt, If not I will supply her with some for Dermot Hurley. what a nerd . The boyfriend had a fine game Anna.Well done again lads. |

Well done lads and well done to the selectors. Pay no heed to the know alls who see a couple of games every year and then pronounce themselves experts. without ever having kicked a ball themselves. Dohenys answered in the best way possible, on the field of play. With regards to Pat Mac and the school leagues, does he remember his top scorer in 1954, a fair haired bespectacled tormenter of defenders, and I also still have the medal. |

As regards St. Patricks n.s. leagues, I would like to point out that these leagues were started in 1954 by Timmy Hourihan and were not run while Jack Young was teaching there. I had the homour of captaining the first team to win the league and the team were called Na Piarsaig. As for winning 5 medals ,it probably never happened, maybe 4, but I do know that the brother Anthony won 3, captaining on one occasion. Icannot remember all the lads that played on the team in 1954 but here are some of them.Michael Crowley, Castle St. Sean Mc Carthy, Moreigh, Autie Hurley, Main St,Joseph Hourihan Castle St, Donal Mc Gillacuddy, now in Wicklow and a former chairman of thr Wicklow Co. Board.Dan O Rourke Chapel St. John Burke Castle St,. There were two other teams one was captained by Terence Mc Carthy and the other by Jim O R ourke, (R.I.P.) who was Brendans brother. By the way I still have the medal. |
