Playing Activities:
The senior footballers suffered heartbreak on Sunday evening last in the Senior Football Championship losing to Newcestown by a mere point on a score-line of 0-11 to 1-09. The Dohenys dominated the exchanges and lead on the scoreboard for much of the match however Newcestown clawed their way back into the game and kicked the winning point on the stroke of full time.  Dohenys will now face the losers of St. Vicents or Aghada in the relegation final.  The Senior footballers are fixed to play Bantry in Bantry this Saturday 28th at 7.45pm in the league.  The Junior A Footballers are in championship action this Sunday against Muintir Bhaire in Aughaville at 3.30pm.  The Junior A footballers had a good result over Newcestown in the league on Monday evening last winning on a score-line of 3-15 to 1-03.  The Junior D footballers are fixed to play Randal Ogs on Friday evening in Ballincarriga at 8pm.
Lotto:
Congratulations to Mary Maybury who scooped of the Doheny GAA Club’s Lotto Jackpot of €3,000 held on Sunday night last.  The numbers drawn were 20, 22 & 25. Consolation prizes went to Con Collins, West Green, Patrick O’Brien, Lakelands & John Draper, Knockbue, Drimoleague.  The jackpot now stands at €1,000 and the next draw takes place in the Parkway Hotel on the 29th of June 2014.
