The Doheny Junior D footballers had a good win over Kilmacabea in the 1st round of the Rowa/Rowex Pharma Junior D Football Championship on Saturday evening last in Leap winning on a score-line of 2-10 to 2-07. They will now face Ilen Rovers in the ¼ final this coming Saturday 30th at 6.30pm in Sam Maguire Park.  Support is welcome!

The Doheny Senior Footballers had a disappointing loss at home to Kiskeam in the league on Saturday evening last losing on a scoreline of 0-10 to 1-12.  This leaves the men in green in a precarious position in Division 2 of the league with a number of games remaining.  The home side started brightly, racing into a 5 point lead and were looking comfortable early in the first half.  Kiskeam however regrouped & got a goal against the run of play and they really kicked on from there.  In fact the north Cork men had a slender advantage of a point when the half time whistle blew.  The second half was a tight scrappy affair & scores were at a premium until the dismissal of a Dohenys player 5 minutes remaining for two yellow cards gave Kiskeam the numerical advantage which the fully exploited and deservedly went on to win by 5 points.
