Playing Activities:
On Saturday evening last the Junior A Hurlers had a comprehensive win over Newcestown in the league in Sam Maguire Park winning on a score-line of 3-14 to 1-07. After a very sluggish first half the team clicked in the second half and won out deserved victors. The half time score-line read Dohenys 1-02 to Newcestown 0-06. Team: Vicent Healy, Killian Crowley, Tom Collins, Fachtna McCarthy, Chris Cronin, Jerry McCarthy, Noel Collins, Conor Collins, David Collins, Brian McCarthy 0-02, Alan Sheehan 0-07, Patrick McCarthy, John Healy 1-01, Mike Milner 1-00, Jamie Carroll 0-03. Subs: Dan McSweeney, John Kelly 1-01, Joe O’Sullivan, John Forbes & Brendan McCarthy.

The Junior Hurlers were in action again on Monday night last away to Clonakilty in the league.  The team was missing a number of key players through injury from the previous match but the team rallied to produce a fine hurling display and were unlucky not to win against the current West Cork Champions.  The game ended in a draw, Dohenys 3-10 Clonakilty 1-16  Team: Vicent Healy, Tadhg O’Leary, Tom Collins, Fachtna McCarthy, Chris Cronin, David Collins, Noel Collins, Conor Collins, Alan Sheehan, Brian McCarthy, Mike Milner, Johnny Kelly, John Healy, Denis Healy, Jamie Carroll Subs Used: Dan McSweeney, Conor Hurley.

Overall the Junior Hurlers are showing great potential & commitment.  With the introduction of some fresh blood to the hurler panel in the likes of Jamie Carroll & Johnny Kelly the hurlers hopefully will be there or there abouts in the West Cork Hurling Championship again in 2013.

Fixtures: Junior A Hurlers are at home to Kilbrittain in the league on Sunday 19th at 12pm.
