Comments: Well done and all the best to the under 14 hurlers in the county final on saturday. The way you play as a team is indeed a pleasure to watch. As players and selectors I hope you will enjoy your day. Its great to see the young lads have there big day as they have supported the clubs other teams hurling and football from Pairc ui Rinn to Pairc ui Chaoimh to our matches in Limerick earlier this year so I hope the team gets a big turn out at the final as they deserve it. Up the Sams

Comments: Well done to the under 14 hurlers and their selectors on reaching the county final. I won my first hurling medal with the club in 1955, juvenile hurling it was called then and from that day to this the club has been a passion. What i really want to say is that in all that time I dont think I have ever seen a group of hurlers from the club with the all round skills that ye have, ye are a joy to watch. Keep it up and maybe in a few years time the club could be playing senior hurling. Good luck on Sat. keep the heads and keep focused and ye will be county champs on Sat evening. I promise Barry if ye win on Sat I will get Joe Deane down to present the medals

The cups this year we mean to win
In spite of fate or foe,
Come on St. Patricks ne'er give in
Till the final whistle blows.

With regard to winning captain in 1957,I won my only medal that year when I was in 4th class. 99% sure that John Burke was captain
