In reply to Doheny Abu the hurling photographs will be on shortly. The delay was caused by technical problems that Con Tringle had with his computer. If interested we have 2 DVDs of the football final and the hurling final which would be good viewing for Christmas. Contact Jerry O' Mahony regarding these or else Donie Mc Carthy or myself. |

Comments: | Our website continues to be very well supported and is on target to pass the 20,000 mark by the time its first birthday comes around. An important part of the site is the guestbook which affords people abroad an opportunity of making contact with the club and also allows people to raise topics which might be of interest to genuine supporters of the club. Unlike similar facilities in other sites we do not demand a true e-mail address which makes it more accessible. Some users like Tim Buckley have no problem in standing over their opinions while others prefer to work under the cloak of anonymity and we do not have a problem with this where comments are positive and fair and criticism is constructive and balanced. However, inevitably and regrettably, there are those who use this mantle of anonymity in a negative and destructive manner and whose postings are only aimed at causing divisions and creating trouble Not only do they use a non-de plume to cover their efforts but in one case we had a variety of them from the same person to give vent to their diatribe. We will not hesitate to take action against the likes of these to protect the credibility of the guestbook. |

Comments: | lets speak facts for a minute because people are commenting on hearsay, i know of four doheny players who played soccer last sunday week, all four have been training for the last 10 month and all four were overlooked by selectors during that period, so i dont think they owe anything to the selectors, club or any " supporters", if anything they should be shown a bit of respect, which from my point of view is seriously lacking in the senior set-up |

What a load of rubbish from tim buckley!! Blaming the 'blazers' for the lack of commitment from players is rubbish. Yes, there could be a big improvement in fixture scheduling, but this was the semi-final of the second most important senior competition in the county and the players failed the commitment test. Isn't it amazing that some players feel they can come and go as they please as regards the GAA but that they have to play every soccer match from start to finish of the season. I have nothing against players playing what they like for the winter as long as they commit themselves to completing the GAA season properly first. |

it is normally a matter of entertainment that leads this reader to airs his views on this particular forum but the comments of "old doheny"and "concerned doheny" cut too close to the bone to simply pass on and not react,im not saying i speak on behalf of the players, but shouldnt the questions that you are asking be asked of the "blazers"who insist on holding up "secondary'competitions like the KS untill the middle of the soccer season?because they themselves are too busy brown-noseing above in dublin availing of there easily obtained stand tickets? If one felt that they have a right to dictate to our amutuer sports men how they should spend there spare time in the offical 'off' season not to mention 'on' season they prehaps should consider the unimaginable.............................pay them!!!!!!!!!!!!shame on you,put those negative thoughts out of your heads, and lets move on and let the lads enjoy there winter break. |

Well well well - Old Doheny you raise an interesting point. This had caught me on the hop but I am sure the AGM will deal with this and maybe an EGM should be called for? |

Comments: | Is it true that a number of the senior team played soccer before lining out agains Clonakilty in the Kelleher Shield semi-final? That kind of dedication won't win the county next season and isn't exactly the way to thank the mentors for a great year. Clon went on to win the Shield. |

Comments: | Hoisted on our own petard? Not at all - however we were caught napping by Crokes and they played some lovely "toe-to-hand" football and were the better team on the day. However we took our eye off the ball as we shined the recently won county cup - know what I mean Sam? (Hint: think 1897?) We will be beack next year:) |
