It is that time of the year when family
takes centre stage and people travel from far and wide to spend the festive
season with family, relations and friends. The Doheny GAA Club wishes to
take this opportunity to wish its members and supporters a very Happy and
Holy Christmas. Our wishes go especially to those who for a variety of
reasons cannot make it home and will spend Christmas in foreign
places.
The Doheny GAA Club Poc Fada
competition takes place on St. Stephens Day on the Derrinasafa Road. Teams
of 3 people & please bring your own hurley & sliotar. Registration on
the day @ 2 pm at the Piggeries (top of Castle St). The
presentation of prizes will take place afterwards in the Parkway Hotel & refreshments
will be provided.
There
was no winner of the Doheny GAA Club’s Lotto Jackpot of €3,200 which was held
on Sunday night last in the Southern Bar. The numbers drawn were 17, 26
& 35. Consolation prizes went to Padriac McCarthy, Dun Orga,
Angie Daly, Nowenview West & Geraldine O’Donovan, Nowenview. The
jackpot now stands at €3,400 and the next draw takes place in the Greyhound Bar
on Sunday night 23rd of December 2018. In
conjunction with our weekly lotto the Club also held their Christmas draw and
the following were the lucky winners.
