U16 Football
Maguire’s 3-8 O Donovan Rossa 1-8
Our U16 footballers had their second league outing on
Monday last where they took on O Donovan Rossa in Skibbereen.
After a promising display in the 2nd half of
their first league outing Sam Maguire’s continued their progression against the
home team.
Goals in either half from the impressive Sean Calnan and a
cracking Con O’Sullivan goal midway through the second half put Sam’s well on
their way to their first league points of the season. A strong defensive
display lead by Padraig Duggan & Peter Collins aided by the impressive
midfield pairing of Jerry Collins and Con O’ Sullivan together with lively
Keelan O’Donovan and Sean Daly in the forwarded line ensured Sam Maguires
came out on top on a full time score of Sam Maguire’s 3-8 O
Donovan Rossa 1-8
