Comments: | the mention of man united in previous entries has got me thinking of comparisons with doheny footballers. runners-up to a club with unlimited resources the most attractive footballing team in the champioship the best supporters a club with a great history and tradition a legandery long serving manager, whos time has probably come to retire no disrespect alex! 2007 will be make or break |

Ear to the ground you are totally on the ball. I'm sure there are a lot of very hurt people out there reading the article. Its not nice to rub people's nose in it. People are born with consciences and its up to them to use them according.Maybe the guilt on some of the Dohenys stopped them playing to the best of their ability. They suckered enough people so they shouldn't walk around feeling that good about themselves. Only the guilty will understand this. Was it worth it????? Think of all the people left with nothing and no chance of reclaiming it. Do ye claim to be Christians I doubt it if ye did he would be gone back to these poor SUCKERS. |

Would someone please tell me what time the hurling is on Sat? Some of us as interested in the hurlers as the footballers. I think if we're true Dohenys we should support as many of the teams as we can be it underage girls and boys or our senior or junior teams. They take time out of their schedules to entertain us on the field without any payment, the least we can do is support. For the hurlers being in a county final is a major achievement so come on all ye true Dohenys and be there to show them how proud we are of them. I'm here hoping that ye can do it so we can have some silverware after all the effort throughout the years. Congrats to the selectors for all their good work too. Up the Doheys... |

Best of luck to the hurlers on Saturday. T'would be great consolation to win the county hurling. Would love to be there but off on holiday. I don't think I'll get a chance to listen to it either. All the best and if the celebrations are half as good as when we lost the football, the Mikey will be getting really worried...... Jaws & Bonny no hurling for ye......Bowling (without the bowl is allowed) |

Comments: | being a doheny i thought that the best cure for the depression of last week would be the sight of our clubmen giving their all in another county final, whatever the grade, but if cutting grass does it for some fair enough. what i cant understand is if there is such disinterest amoung dohenys in hurling as some suggest, why has poor donie mccarthy so much trouble allocating cork hurling tickets but no such trouble when cork footballers are playing. by the way man u are playing at 5.30 on saturday so no excuses for any doheny/manc's out there |
