John, thanks for the words of wisdom. Maybe I am 1/2 a Doheny but there are a whole lot of us out there at the moment after last weekend. As for the hurling game next weekend - will pass on it as I need to cut the grass....... Lets see what will happen in 2007 but chances are we will be looking at 2006 as a lost opportunity and by golly, was it an opportunity. At least Man Utd. are back to their winning ways:) |

| Comments: | Last week was a great experience but at the end of the day all that is left is memories and "what if's" - winning is everything and now Dohenys face another winter empty handed. This was the year to do it and the "The Curse of the Black Widow" has descended upon the town once again. Will take a big effort to get current team kickstarted again. There is another "county final" but this is a mickey mouse game and not a whole lot of interest in this compared to the main one. Was an enjoyable season but a bad ending. Depressed Doheny  |

Its hard to imagine its a week since the game. All the excitement and now its over til next year. I hope ye can learn from the experience and come back a better team. I know its in ye but ye have to have faith in yer self too. Ye entertained us so much this year. Don't forget the Kelleher Shield its all to play for. Come on the hurlers. We're equally proud of ye. |

dohenys must realise this nemo team is around for a long time,age is on there side.Where were our tactics sunday?why didnt we use a third midfielder where we got beaten or that extra man used to sit in front of o brien?the selectors must learn from this experience as well and the club as a whole.nemo could have brought on another ten subs and played there part.How many players are coming through to play senior in the next 3 years?especially forwards?what i can see nemo concentrate on players coming through just as much as the starting 15 we should try and learn from them eg gym, underage, ect.We still had them rattled in the second half ,i was sitting near there management they were panicking when dennis healy shot wide to put 2 points between us. up the dohenys |
