Would Pat Mc like to contribute to our competition???We are sure you have many talents Pat, but we wonder if poetry is one of them!!The Doheny Cheerleaders are in practise for their upcoming debut next Sunday! We cant wait to show people of Doheny Land what we are all about! Lets hope our men follow suit!!! |

Congratulations to Denis Lyons and Imelda O' Sullivan on their marriage. Why are there so few married players on the senior panel? Denis will be missed next sunday but the other players will rise to the occasion and make up for the players who are missing. Remember the intermediate final against Kilmurry 10 years ago. |

Seeing as though we are up against "The Students" in the next round, we have decided to launch a competition that will show how intellectual Doheny Supporters are! The best poem will receive a "Certificate of Intellectual Supremacy" from The Doheny Cheerleaders. Here is a sample from our recent A.G.M.  The Doheny men are fine & fit, And looking good in their football kit, With the centre boys catching well out field, We will have the county sealed.  Dont forget the great work being done in the backs,  The troops there, always ready to take the slack, Our forward are eager & ready to please, Scoring points and goals with casual ease.  Oh yes, the good ole days are back again Students watch out, we've a county to claim!!!  |

Some of you may remember I invited the club out to Lux for our tournament, well to provide an update - it was on yesterday and Luxembourg won but only just............ by a point after extra time. If we win Europe we are playing in the first round of the Leinster junior championship. 3 Cork lads playing - top scorer on the day was Paudie Donegan's nephew |

What's happening with the senior footballers? When are the draws being made? See no mention in reports of junior footballers. Have they gone back into hibernation. Even the cheerleaders have gone quiet. Did Pat Mc pull the plug on them? |
