Comments: | Well said by Club Officers, I enjoy the website enormously but am sick of the drivel and because of it have refrained from participating for some time. Good natured banter is part of the enjoyment but there are avenues for addressing issues. Keep up the good work on match reports, photos, events and news, it is a great social link for Dohenys living abroad and much appreciated. Up the Dohenys |

Well said lads.
The Guestbook was becoming a bit of a 'laundrymat' for some people. Pat & Donie ~ let by gones be by gones and move on ~ there are more important things in life than bickering.
Meet up, shakes hands, move on or else forever hold your peace. |

Comments: | FAO: All club members and website users
This website was always intended to act as an information point and to provide an informal forum for any member of the public to offer their thoughts and opinions on our club and its activities. Unfortunately from time to time the freedom of expression which is facilitated through the Guestbook comment section has been used to post personal comments and on some occasions to discuss internal Club issues.
The Executive has discussed this matter at various times over the years and it has always been Club policy that any comments which are personal in nature or try to raise issues which relate to internal club discussions and matters have been removed at the earliest possible moment.
There is a proper forum for discussing essential club issues and this is provided by the club, like all other GAA Clubs, through its Executive Club meetings and it's A.G.M. Any member of the Club is free to air his or her views on any matters through these avenues as provided for in the Club's Constitution.
It is unfortunate that the Club's Officers feel that we have to issue this statement in relation to the website which since its inception has always proved to be a very popular forum for providing information to interested people worldwide.
The Club has always been very proud of its website and we feel confident that the vast majority of people that use the website have the Doheny's best interests at heart and we would encourage them to continue in their interaction with the club in this manner.

To:Niall and Pat,
I have always acted according to the rules of Cumann Luchleas Gael which did not happen at the Doheny Club Executive Meeting of 11th March 2009 where all rules of our great association were broken. If I got proper answers why this happened instead of your smart comments I would not have to post any comments on the website. |

Comments: | Unfortunately Donal, most of our time is taken up with having to moderate your comments. None of your comments, that were removed were constructive, only the opposite. It really is a shame that you see fit to use this website as a vehicle for your constant displeasure with different aspects of the club and those working for the club. Let me add, you asked where are the standards, like this and all other parts of the club, all club members and supporters strive to keep the standards high, which I think is widely recognised as being the case and growing. In 5 years of this site, you are the first to question its standards, standards that were recognised nationally, and that is unfortunate.

Over the past number of weeks I have been looking for results for Dohenys Junior A Hurlers. It seems this website is not catering for Hurling results anymore. Mayby the people in charge are more interested in deleting construstive contribution to the website which are facts. Thanks to the Carbery website where I can get my results. For a Macnanee Winning Website where are the Standards.Best of luck to the Sam Maguires Under 12 A Footballers in the Plate Final. They put up some display in Rossmore on last Monday night against Clonakilty in the A Final at no cost to the Club. |
