Darragh Lets start developing Football within the Club at top A Level Football where we should be competing. We are a Senior Club. 1995,1996, 1997,1998 under 12 (A) West Cork Champions,1998 Under 12 (C) Champions Under 14 Champions at (A) Level 1999 and 2000 defeated by Mallow in the County Final as well as winning the top grade in under 12 A Hurling. These players involved in those teams were not developed and this is a problem which needs to be adressed. One of those selestors was involved in 2006 along with other very good selectors who cost the Doheny Club no money compared to what it cost in 2009 were got rid of because their report at the A.G.M 2007 critized what happened at player level.Has any thing changed since despite paying out massve money from the Doheny Club.Is this player power.Lets get positivy and reality back in to the Doheny Club. Can this report 2006 be looked at again on the 13th November with a view to improve the future of the Doheny Club. and stop living in the past and face reality and rule the Club according to he General Rules of Cumann Luchcleas which did no happen last March. |

Best of luck to the Under 16 Football Team and selectors in the County Semi-Final . This County was last won in 1999 and a huge number of the players involved in that Team contributed to the success of Doheny Senior Football Team in this decade. |

Any thoughts on Kennellys honesty regarding the All Ireland Final? Seems he could be on the way back to Oz and could leave in a blaze of glory. Gotta love it! Hopefully GAA doesn't go down the Aussie Rules road... |

1 Gl 4 Pts scored in a competive game in Cork County Senior Football Kellerer Shield League v St Finbars. Lets be real at what cost to the Club for 2009 .Look back to what it cost in former years. Lets get reality backto the Doheny Club and go back to 1992/1993/1995 where the Club went forward and devloped players at small cost .Thanks to Jery O Mahony,Fiona Mc Carthy, Ray Keheller and the late Raymond Lyons. Maybe the Executive Commttee may consider this coming from a fomer Club Secretary who is and always is a Doheny. |

Comments: | Firstly, I would just like to wish Jack all the best in his recovery from such a horrific injury. Heres to hoping he returns better and stronger than ever and knowing how this young lad approaches GAA, he will make sure he does. Secondly, I would like to echo Donie's comments below. The team & Jack especially were very lucky to have such expert medical care present both in the form of the Red Cross and also on the sideline. It really helped in such a bad situation. Finally I would like to say fair play to the Kilmeen/Kilbree club for leaving a comment on here. They were the better team overall and deserved their victory. Dohenys abu. |
