Tim my ol sagosca, that's a question for the oracle, hopefully the following might prove as some insight in your quest for knowledge....

1996 - lost to aghada 1st round(ballincollig)....baptism of fire

1997 - lost to imokily 1/4 final(ballygarven)....a no show on the night

1998 - lost to douglas(replay-a.e.t) 1st round(innishannon)...a team in transistion

1999 -lost to clon 1stround(bandon)....painfull

Back-door introduced into championship

2000-lost to carbery 2nd round(castlehaven)......good first half, 2nd half...we'll say no more

2001-lost to nemo 1/4 final(brinny)....brave effort

2002-lost to ucc 1/4 final(newcestown)....a missed opportunity

2003- lost to na piarsiag 4th round(bandon)......the recken ere

2004-lost to skibb 4th round(castlehaven)...........

2005-lost to muskerry 1/2 final(pairc ui caoimh)......could have gone either way

2006-lost to nemo final (pairc ui caoimh)......lady luck did'nt shine

2007-lost to ilen rovers 1/4 final(rosscarbery).......hard to sum that one up

2008....????????

As regards analysing the progress, well if you plotted on a x-y graph with championship round on the  y-axis and years in ascending order on the x-axis i think you'd see the graph rising steadily through the 90's peaking n 2006 and dropping off slightly again there after, almost mirroring the economic growth and decline within the country during the same period.
Better hault, we'll have pat mc questiong the relavence of this rambling talk..
Hawkeye bud, whats up... you've gone quite???

Comments: Tim - haven't a clue about past results boy but if you are really interested then you could always go to the Southern Star archives and see what the story was since 1996......

Hold tough for a while though as if we win the county this year no need to look back in the past.

Cheers

Comments: is it possible someone with the history books could recall all the champioship games and results since we came up to the senior grade since 1996 ?. it would be interesting to analyse the progress the club has made in this top grade of football . i believe dohenys got to a quarter final in their first year up and lost out to imokilly . i dont think we played another quarter final until about 2001/02 when nemo were lucky to beat us in brinny . The starting teams could be provided also ??

Comments: Solid performance last weekend and some of the newer players may force a change of guard. An improvement is needed if The Green Army is to march on. Having said that, a very entertaining game for all who were there
