Comments: | I just want to say well done to the minor team who had a great win over St. Vincents last night in Macroom in a game that was played in dreadful conditions. Super comeback after an 11 point swing in the second half. Well done lads |

I was only wondering why the Under 8 photos have not been updated since June 2007. Very dissapointing. Where are the photos that were taken in Bantry with Cork Captain, Graham Canty? Would be nice for our future Doheny's to view these. |

In addition to comments added below it would be nice if everyone involved with the club could row in the right direction. The report on this website of the Mallow game was a bit wayward in its views. Maybe this was due to the fact that the writer wasnt at the game. Complacency had nothing to do with Mallow getting back into the game in the final quarter. Their use of a third midfielder allowed them to win more ball & set up attacks. Plus they were playing with the aid of a breeze (which might not have been evident to those on the hill) I think this was opitimised by the fact both teams only scored 5 points when playing up the pitch!!!! Pat Collins has been one of our best players this year (in all games, not just the 2 championship ones thus far that most hurlers on the ditch see). Maybe a central position might suit him better but his work rate & performances at wing forward have been brilliant. Also the selectors took on the job of training this team when it was evidient that not many other people wanted the job. It isnt an easy job (as Im sure they are well aware). Any advice/criticism that can benefit the team Im sure is welcome but might be better given in the dressing room rather than over the internet. We will head to the next round looking forward to another game of football. Dohenys abu |

in relation to comments about players and management (eg pat collins, who has been our best player this year) i would like for the town and parish to get behind us instead of all the thrashy inuendo going on. Thanks. |

Agree with some of the recent postings - alot of trash talk out there at the moment and 'hurlers on the ditch'.
Let start off with a clean slate and be happy that Dohenys are still in the County Championship.
More to come.........
