I'm after trawling through the post's in this guestbook and the majority of it is waffle and "subtle" derogatory remarks. If you have something to say, say it in the light of day and don't be hiding and posting anonymously . It's bad enough in the light of the day when potential players, selectors and officials are thrown off by some of this nonsence. This guestbook should be only used mainly in support and encouragement for the Doheny club at all levels. If you want to buy into the "Culture of Conflict" go away and watch Eastenders or Corination Street.Don't be annoying me reading it.Nook. |

Comments: | I would have to agree with the comment below. I would add that i didnt really comphrehend the hurler on the ditch point either. The coaches and trainers have a far great appreciatioin of players abilties through countless training sesions, and the hurler on the ditch if refered to as such for a perticular reason. |

In reply to "Dohenys v Mallow _ A look back" report that is on this site, I have a number of observations to make. Firstly, as mentioned, the reason the Southern Star report was so short was because there was no reporter present, which leads me to question this reporters views as he/she wasnt present either. Id also like to point out that the so called "unreliable" backs were responsible for a couple of last ditch tackles/blocks. Also the so called basic coaching concept in football (which this reporter may have had an opportunity to teach this panel in the not so distant past) could be summarised as outscoring the opposition??? Finally, lady luck plays a big part in every game, just ask Nemo Rangers about their county final victory over this Doheny team. You may or may not agree but I can guarantee that I enjoy attending every Doheny game watching these players give their all for the jersey. Dohenys abu |

Hi there - been away from Dunmanway for a number of years now....but still keep very much in touch with the Doheny's and their results. Have managed to teach all 12 grandkids the Doheny's song over the years....something I am proud of. As they say...you can take the man out of Dunmanway...but you cant take Dunmanway out of the man. Good luck - best wishes. John Deasy - Alexandria - Scotland |

Great result against Mallow - Ger Mac played a blinder and was lofting points over left, right and center. Cork team would be doing well to pick. Summer is back on track again:) |
