Good Question balls, but your not quite right with your summation. It's not a 50/50 thing my friend, the county board created the mess, now its up the them to sort it out.

I sh*t you not when I say that in a club not far from here (i'll mention no names), the chairman had never meet the club's delegate and only barely knew his name. Most of the delegates and I mean no dis-respect when I say this but all they do is follow the Pied Piper.

Basically the board saw their opportunity to regain ground lost in 2002. As the saying goes "A dictator knows how to sway his posse" and found a willing scapegoat  along the way.
There was no need to go changing anything, 5 all-ireland finals in 5 years isn't bad going.
The only resolution to the problem is if a couple of individuals and thats all it is, swallow their pride and take a step back.
If they really had the best intersts of cork hurling and football at heart they would have done this  long before now.

Comments: Any opinions on the current state of Cork G.A.A. ?? A farcical situation with both sides to blame ?? A solution- why not put the proposal to the delegates(who will have consulted their clubs as to which way to vote) again with both sides agreed the outcome is final. I know it would be rushed and any new appointments would be rushed but surely it is better than Cork not playing any games this year ???

The music, craic and spuds were top class and there were a few guys getting lucky towards the end of the night which is lways a good thing. Looking forward to next years already.

Comments: When 'The Oracle' speakith we should all listen.  What a sight to see some of the players hauling a car up Prospect Lawn...........better that than watching that foreign game on The Premiership or those people playing foreign games in our hallowed Croke Park. Pray tell what would our Fenian Fathers think of todays attitude.....

As regards your inquest Tiler, i'd say our new chairman "Diarmuid O Mathuna" should have a fare idea, so give the lad a phone. Speaking of the dinner dance itself, lets hope the folk of the locality make an effort to attend, alas there shant be much silver on display but that should prove no deterent, its usually a more the merrier vibe at these kinda functions. Personally I reckon the green team that won back the title against the northsiders from nackeragua after an absence of 4 years should get a set medals and maybe a wooden spoon for the chairman of sam maguire's.

For the attention of all adult players, junior  4's, A's and senior's, hurlers and hand ballers and even mna na dubhchonnaigh in the words of the great man himself muhammad ali "the fight is won and lost out there on the road and in the gym, long before I dance under those lights".
I sh*t you not when I say the newcestown boys are back training with a month and after every session they pull cars from the village up the hill past the gaa pitch. 3 men to a car and a rope. I reckon it could be the only training that could galvanise our senior team, get em pulling cars from the parkway up past pat brien's, 3 men to a car and a rope. For example paudie murray, shatchee and ronan sul that would be a fare handy team, would take a good team to beat them. I accept that reading it now, you could be mistaken for thinking its a bit of a crazy idea but this is an up to date technology,  and if you want success at the top level people have to be prepared  to do these things .
