Comments: Great team Claus, but you could not pick that team without including Noel Woods. One of the unsung heroes of the club. What do you think. Probably a couple of more too that I can't think of at the moment

God dam it donie what are we going to do with ya ?, there's no disputing your service record within the club but your going to have to stop using it as a stick to beat other folk with, most folk that comment on here do so under an alias, its there own perogative to do so, its obvious you've got a bone to pick over something but i dont see what your going to gain buddy by jumping down someone's troat who dare's leave a comment. Simple fact of the matter is were not going to win a county title on the back of whats trashed out here, that'll come down to actions of the players on the pitch next year but we can have a bit of craic on wet and dreary Novembers day...

Comments: Oracle,
I dont know who you are .Mayby you could identify yourself and what have you contributed to the Doheny Club. You dont know your facts mayby you should identify yourself and stop critiztizing when you have not the facts. Stop taking about Sam Maguires defeating Oliver Plunketts in top grade under age Football. At that time in 1996 to 2001 Sam Maguires defeated Bantry,lConakilty,Bandon,Skibb in all games at the top A level. In 1997 Sam Maguires won the West Cork Under 12 A Football and also the under 12 B Football Championship. Were you any any of those games and what  have you contributed instead of putting on crap without identifying yourself.

head, head, head,head...............head, dont be starting something you cant finish, was sean rice not on a county u16 winning team back around 99ish, beat valleys over in cloghduv, am i wrong?........am i wrong
era donie i dont know where your going picking guys for the best under-age team by the amount of metal they have in the closet, sur a lot of the current senior panal have little to show medal wise, maybe a grainger cup medal, a tadgh crowley,a junior c or d and maybe a minor non-exam league section 3 yet they've been some of the best servants the club have seen, its all well an good looking back at the glory days of the early 90's donie, sur we'd all love to go back there but we cant and the fact of the matter is your not comparing like with like, big difference between playing the likes of oliver plonkers down in balineen than playing say nemo in brinny. lets look around at the other clubs playing senior football for a second, nemo, barrs, clon look at the resources these clubs have in terms of facilities and membership etc . I know where this discontent is coming from, its coming from frustration based around the feelling that "we'll only ever get so far at senior level", this has to stop, only 1 team can win the championship in a given season and nemo have 4 of the last 5 so its not easy and you need luck on your side, when your stuck in something for a long time it can be hard to see the woods from the tree's and where your coming from, lots of clubs around the county dream about playing at this level so lets keep the heads now shall we and not forget the priority which is to preserve senior status going forward and avoid going the way of mallow and bantry blues

Comments: Sceoned
At least when I Put something on the website I put my name to it and stand up and be counted which I always did at no matter what time for the Doheny Club.Tom Ross wore the Cork red and white jersey at Senior and Under Level with distintion which was a great honour for the Doheny Club.I am quiet sure that a number of other players have stepped out of line since then and what action was taken.Lets be fair and do not critisize one player above another hiding behind a name called sceoned.

Comments: I would agree with Observer on the team he selected not forgeting Tony Sheehan who was our outstanding free taker in 1992 against Carbery Rangers in Drimoleague in the West Cork Final, which is always in every game that if you converts your frees you will win the game which happened then in those days which is not worked on in present Dohenys Teams at all levels. Not forgetting  stilish wing back Tommy Walsh who later went on to win honours with his home Club Clyda Rovers. As regards the Heads under age team how can you omit Michael O Donavan and include himself. The Head played his best football and hurling when he was out around the middle of the field at under -age level  but his attitude towards hard training and comittment was a problem which seems to be slill a problem with alot of players if we are to lift the Andy Scannell Cup .Clonakilty did it this year why not Dohenys.
