Ramie! The song "Up the Dohenys" was originally recorded for the local hockey team that were winning all round them. Im presuming that when the footballers started winning, they adopted "the winners song" PS trust women to have it first!!!! |

I'm sorry for all you devoted Doheny supporters but I think Paudie Palmer is right on this occasion, an easy county for Nemo once again. Best of Luck anyway, it will be a day out in Cork City, first time for some of you Country folk I suppose. At least Pat Mc has made some money out of it. |

Comments: | Question: Why is it that no Doheny has been considered for the Cork senior football panel in the recent past? Seems peculiar to me in light of the fact that Doheny’s have been consistently performing in the Senior ranks. |

Comments: | Forget about the Nemo bickering. How about Ramie and his upcoming performance? If Ramie can’t get the YMCA moves rehearsed on time (who knows maybe he has been practicing for the last couple of years ) how about Paradise City from Guns’ Roses? That should get the crowd rocking. Other suggestions are welcome but with 2 upcoming county finals looks like Ramie will be getting out the dancing shoes and clearing the throat. By the way, the town has been well decorated and plenty of green on display. Cois Farraige will be a busy punter in October. |

Sean......well done on making the final but........counting&chickens&hatching springs to mind!!!! James is a class act but I have no doubt any of our 6 backs are more than capable of marking him especially Paul Deane....who surprisingly has seemed to go un-noticed to Billy& his predecessors for some strange reason Maybe another outstanding showing from him on the 29th might open a few eyes in the rebel camp |

Comments: | Nemo marching on!!! As I mentioned before “history has a knack of repeating itself”………1975, 2005, 2006….. Hats off to Dohenys making it to the final but Nemo will take over from here (as usual). Was a geat result yesterday and again a Masterful display. Who in the Doheny team can stop our Master? And the show goes on…….. |

Playright or Poet Friend or Foe Crank or Genuine Supporter Non De Plume or True Identity Male or Female We give sanctuary to them all, an opportunity to express their views or get something off their chests. Whether we agree or disagree. We would be more concerned if no use at all was being made of our guestbook. As for jimmy Bob give him credit, I'm sure it was him I saw during the week falling into the Bandon off the Long bridge when trying to put up bunting. Lay off Abb, he does his best work in the early hours of the morning and he had spent a long night trying to keep Barry Herlihy in tune in recording our updated version of Up the Dohenys. What a duet, Eddie and Barry singing Up the Dohenys! My effort would only be trotting after them. As for Tom and Terence and my dancingto YMCA, ye will undoubtedly see much stranger sights if Dohenys bring home Andy Scannell Enjoy the next few weeks, savour the occasion, treasure the memories, win, loose or draw. Remember, occasions like this do not come around every year. Make the most of them when they do. Well done to Johnny Deane who is mainly responsible for the greening of Dunmanway. I last saw him hanging from sky hooks, putting flags at the top of the net behind the goal in the Sam Maguire Park with Brendan O Rourke and young Herlihy giving moral support from the ground! |
